Feed the Ducks Productions invites musical theatre actors and actresses to audition

Feed the Ducks Productions invites musical theatre actors and actresses to audition for roles in a double-bill of Newton & Merry, to be presented at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Apocalypse: The Musical and HappyLand will take to the stage on alternating nights throughout August. For more information on the shows, please scroll down.
Auditions ---------------- Will take place on Saturday May 31st in London (venue to be confirmed). Actors will need to prepare two contrasting songs, which show off vocal range and ability, and will also be asked to read extracts from the scripts.
All those auditioning should note that the productions will be on a profit-share basis, with the cast covering their own food, travel and accommodation expenses during rehearsals and performances. Estimated costs are available on request.
Other information ------------------------ Rehearsals will take place during the last two weeks of June and throughout July, a mixture of daytime's and evenings. If you have other commitments during this time please state these in your application as it’s possible that we can work around them.
Performances will take place daily from 30th July to 25th August at 8.15pm at C-1, Chambers Street, Edinburgh (one performance per day, alternating the two shows). All cast members will be cast in both shows.
Apocalypse ------------------ ‘Apocalypse: The Musical’ first appeared on the Fringe in 2005, and remains the only show ever to be given a five-star-plus review from Broadway Baby.
Misguided but well-meaning nuns, cows, angels and grapes take their part on the cosmic stage as God and Satan prepare for the End. Apocalypse romps through the surreal and the sublime with miracles, mayhem, misuse of an ironing-board and the best udder-choreography you may ever see.
“The funniest musical ever. Period… If you miss this you’ll be missing one of the Fringe’s best shows in nearly a decade” *****+ Broadway Baby
“The best musical laugh you’ll get on the Fringe” ***** British Theatre Guide.
“A riotous romp featuring some of the most absurdly funny one-liners ever attributed to Satan." -Edinburgh Evening News
HappyLand ------------------- ‘HappyLand’ is a brand new show from the writers of ‘Apocalypse: The Musical.’ Deceased dogs, adulterous accountants, homicidal hit-men and one very traumatized taxidermist collide in the Ball Pool of Happiness at HappyLand Residential Therapy Camp for the Stressed and Depressed… but will they ever leave?
A comedy musical with subversively smiley undertones, ‘HappyLand’ promises to follow in the footsteps of ‘Apocalypse’ and create a sensation at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe.
