Actors need to be of the ages 18-26 and 40-65, actress between the ages of 18-30
2nd Year Student Film at the University College for the Creative Arts, Farnham, Surrey. 16mm Colour film.
Synopsis
----------
Contemporary Drama Documentary about a serial killer named Mark Rowntree. He murdered four people in eight days. The film follows the time of the killings until his arrest. We are focusing on him as a person and his condition as a paranoid schizophrenic.
Characters
------------
Mark Rowntree: male aged 18-26
The central character. An orphan brought up by a middle class family. Well educated and writes poems in his spare time. He is unemployed and lives in an annex off his parent’s house. He is isolated from the outside world and doesn’t like much human contact and interaction. He was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic during his conviction. He is confident in the way he goes about the murders. He is a misogynist and can’t handle rejection from women.
Det. Chief Supt Dibb: male aged 40-65
He has got a lot of experience in police work. His title is: “Det. Chief Supt Dibb”. He is an old fashioned man. He is stubborn and he never gives up. He is confident that he can nail any criminal that he comes across. His eyes and his body language say that he is a strong man with principles and that he never backs away from anything.
Barbara Rose Booth: female aged 18-30
Description: An average, middle class girl. She is working as a part time model for magazines and commercials. That doesn’t cover her expenses so she has got to work part time at a supermarket as well. She lives together with her three year old son Alan. She doesn’t have a husband or boyfriend.
She is a person that is full of life and she seems to be shining of happiness all the time. She has got charm and is outgoing. She likes to meet new people.
