Casting call for "Squadron 5" (SFU 4th year Grad Film). Male actors needed, aged 20-60
Casting call for "Squadron 5" (SFU 4th year Grad Film). Currently casting for male actors aged between 20 and 60 to play various parts.
Plot summary
-------------
Set in a space age where Royal tyranny rules all, a rebellion has emerged in a distant planet. The Prince summons Sergeant Lau, the leader of Squadron 5, and Lieutenant Ng, a returning soldier who has studied broad. The Prince orders them to guard his battleship at a comfortable distance as the other battleship troops spread and surround the rebel army.
However, during battle, the rebels immediately charge forward and hit Squadron 5 head on. Squadron 5 is shot down but Sergeant Lau and Lieutenant Ng crash land in enemy territory, only a handful manage to survive. Lieutenant Ng soon realizes that Squadron 5 was used as a sacrifice in this operation when the rescue squad fails to appear and Squadron 5 is left to die.

Auditions will be held on August 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Vancouver. Film will be shot between August 28th - August 31st.

Lieutenant Ng
Males, aged 20 to 30 from Canada
Chinese, young and determined. A man that has difficulty surviving in a society that is governed by rank. Has yet to learn how to not talk back to his superiors. Must speak Cantonese or Mandarin.

Sergeant Lau
Males, aged 40 to 50 from Canada
Chinese, mature and experienced. A father figure amongst his squadron, he treats his men like his own children. Must speak Cantonese or Mandarin.

Private Yuen
Males, aged 20 to 30 from Canada
Chinese, young and optimistic. Still immature and feeds off the propaganda given to him. He trusts in his commanding officers and treats them like heroes. Must speak Cantonese or Mandarin.

The Prince
Males, aged 20 to 30 from Canada
Chinese, incredibly clever but twisted. He is treated as a God in his country since he was born. He is always deceitful and will often lie to his men to achieve a goal. Must speak Cantonese or Mandarin.

Adviser Wu
Males, aged 40 to 60 from Canada
Chinese, old and knowledgeable. The Prince's closest adviser. He has served the Royal Family for many years, generation after generation. His loyalty is unbreakable and will do anything the Prince wishes. Must speak Cantonese or Mandarin.

Lieutenant Cheung
Males, aged 20 to 30 from Canada
Chinese, obedient, young like Lieutenant Ng. He comes across Squadron 5 while on a mission with his men, but does not save them since he was ordered not to. Must speak Cantonese or Mandarin.
