We are a group of final year students producing our graduation short, "Diphacinone".
Although we aren’t able to pay any actors wages we are more than happy to pay for full travel expenses and obviously cater for cast and crew through out the shoot.
We will mostly be shooting in both the south and west of London from the 17th-29th March.
Plot Summary:
---------------
"Diphacinone" is a black comedy exploring the idea that we are all at one point in our lives scared of responsibility. It tells the story of Henry, a man who's deep fear of in-pending fatherhood leaves him at the point where he begins to hallucinate about the death of his unborn child. In Henry's mind he begins to connect his job in pest control with his girlfriend's pregnancy on the day she gives birth to his son.
We are using a lot of prosthetic and technical effects created by a team of Wimbledon and LCF students to make each hallucination really come alive, so any actor interested may need to be both open minded and easy to work with.

Henry
Male Aged From 25 To 35
Full 10 day shoot)
Henry’s has not been himself for the past 9 months. His twisted daydreams distract him from his work mates obnoxious advice and his neglected girlfriends screams. Fatherhood is not for Henry, and on the day she gives birth to his son all his fear and frustration over who he is about to become is finally released.
Carolina
Female Aged From 25 To 30

Carolina is exhausted. On the day she gives birth to her boyfriend Henry’s baby he is more distant than ever. The man whom she loves has done nothing but neglect her for the past 9 months yet she refuses to let him run when she needs him the most.
Rick
Male Aged From 30 To 45
(4 day shoot)
Rick is a loud and confident man. He owns his own pest-control business and would consider himself a survivor of several divorces. His young work mate Henry is not interested in his rather crude advice on pregnancy, but Rick will give it anyway.
Nurse
Female Aged From 30 To 50
(2 day shoot)
Friendly and comforting mid-wife, during final birth sequence. (Mostly voice over)
Doctor
Male Aged From 30 To 45
(2 day shoot)
Performing birth procedure (voice over only)
