We’re now looking to cast a plus size actress for the first production from a fresh new film company

We’re now looking to cast a plus size actress for the first production from fresh new film company Fluid Image.
Plot summary: ------------- The lift is a chilling horror film about a young mans mind-bending journey inside a lift which takes him on a journey deep inside himself, exposing a shocking secret that he’s tried to erase from his memory. Along the way he has to deal with some of the nastiest sights and characters ever to appear in an indie film.
In a nutshell this is a film very much in the Twighlight Zone style, with a tip of the hat to Richard Donner’s classic ‘Nightmare at 20,000 feet’ featuring William Shatner from 1963. Recreating the same claustrophobic vibe and sense of helplessness.
We already have some good name actors on board but we are still looking to audition for the following role:
Plus size lady 20-40, ideally size 20+ but could be smaller if shorter! It's a speaking role although a very small speaking part. We would need you to have some extensive make-up applied and you may not be recognisable as yourself in the film.
Additional information: ------------------------ Shooting schedules for most cast members is 2 days max except for the role of Daniel which may be up to 10 days.
Shooting will be in London (city) - Interior and exterior day, Kingston - Studio and Warlingham Surrey - exterior night (south of Croydon.)
Shooting will be on weekends between late April and late May.
Because this is an independent, no budget production we will not be observing any BECTU/EQUITY or similar organizations rates, rules or guidelines however we will of course be observing strict health & safety as well as risk assessment legislation. We will have a trained health & safety rep on site on all shoot days. The production is also fully insured whilst shooting.
Payment is not offered although all expenses will be covered as well as wardrobe and catering provided on set. All actors will become shareholders of the film. It’s being made primarily for festival fodder and as a potential launch pad for all involved onto bigger things.
This is a great opportunity to work on a film with extremely high production values. We’ve blown the budget on the kit, props, legalities and special effects so we know it will look a million bucks. We’ve attracted some excellent people so far and heading up the project is Kenny Evans, respected live music event director and currently teaching Moving Image at Kingston University.
In the first instance please send biog with any relevant film experience, links to visible work (Internet) and photograph. Once we’ve had a chance to look at them we will let successful auditionees know by mid March. Everyone who applies will hear back from us either way. We’re looking for people who are passionate, willing to take a risk and don’t mind grafting for no monetary return, like everyone else on the set!
Auditions will be held in Kingston, Surrey late March 2008.
All cast will be invited to the official screening in Soho, London early July 2008.
