The Artist, a student film requires male and female actors aged 20-30 years
Synopsis
--------------
A story about an independent painter experiencing a creative block. He turns to his everyday surroundings, in hope of finding his much needed inspiration in experiences he takes for granted every day.
He discovers that his touch, smell and sound senses start to manifest colours within his mind, which provide the much needed inspiration he has been looking for.
Lead role description
--------------------------
Marcus(M): Must be of reasonable height and fairly well built. The character range is 28-29 years of age. Smoking preferable but not essential. The characters must exude a quiet calm but this calm will eventually turn to stress and desperation as the lack of creativity is driving him mad.
Alex(F): Small in height, in relation to Marcus. The character range is 21-28 years of age. A beautiful calm in Marcus’s life. Strong willed, calm and collected, the opposite of Marcus’s current state.

Calvin (M): Energetic, friendly and full of energy. The character makes Marcus realise that hiding away from the world can cut out friends that can be a positive influence on his art work.
Audition Details
--------------------
Auditions will be held every Thursday and Friday from 29th November 2007- 14th December 2007 at Coventry University’s Ellen Terry Building at 3pm. Times can be negotiated. Transport requirements from Coventry Train station to the Ellen Terry building can be negotiated if prior consultation with the producer is made.
Audition will take no longer than half an hour. Auditions will consist of an interview and a reading of the script which will be given to actors at the time of their Auditions.
Transport from the Coventry train station to Coventry University’s Ellen Terry building can be arranged if needed.
If you are selected, we will pay for your expenses and food will be provided while in production. We will also provide you with a copy of the film in any format you request.
We are shooting Early New year. Shooting is currently scheduled for the 7th January. The production will take one to one and a half weeks.
