A low-budget short film. Filming will take place in York over two days - early September
'Upseated' is a low-budget short film. Filming will take place in York over two days during early September 2008. Auditions will be arranged for the beginning of June.
Synopsis:

Upseated is a three minute, high concept short film, which tells the story of two wheelchair bound elderly gentlemen and their battling imaginations. The project is supported by 'Age Concern York' a charity, which supports the elderly.

Written and directed by Mike Ritchie, information about Mike's previous projects can be found at our website. The production team also consists of other York based film makers and is produced by Saara Malmioja, a recent graduate of York St Johns University. The roles are paid, rates negotiable. Expenses and food will be provided as well as a free copy of the film. On completion, the film will be entered into film festivals.

Aged 78. An upbeat resident of the retirement home; William enjoys his routine along with the special attention he receives for being the only one in a wheelchair - until Charles arrives.

Males, aged 70 to 99 from the United Kingdom
Aged 75. Charles sits comfortably and confidently in his wheelchair. With his finely combed mustache and sickly sweet smile he creates quite a stir when he moves into the retirement home.
