Ice Cold War is a drama about Dmitri Yulchinshun, a son whose allegiance belongs to his father, the head of the Russian mafia, Nikolai Yulchinshun, but whose heart belongs to the fascinating game of hockey. Dmitri sacrifices his private life to pursue his father's ambitions, but when Nikolai tests his son by ordering him to murder Andre Richardson, the famous hockey player and Dmitri's childhood hero, Dmitri decides it is time for him to confront his father.

Auditions held on Tuesday, August 19th, 2008 through Friday, August 22nd, 2008 with call backs on Tuesday, September 1st, 2008 at 7:00pm (Other arrangements can be made). Shooting starts Saturday, September 6th, 2008 til Wednesday, September 10th, 2008.

DMITRI YULCHINSHUN
Males, aged 18 to 25 from Canada
DMITRI YULCHINSHUN is Nikolai’s son. His allegiance belongs to his Russian mobster father but his heart belongs to the game of hockey, his passion. Dmitri sacrificed everything; his dreams, his ambitions, and his personality to become to son Nikolai always wanted. He is Nikolai’s puppet but things will change when Dmitri finally decides to confront his father.

NIKOLAI YULCHINSHUN
Males, aged 35 to 55 from Canada
NIKOLAI YULCHINSHUN is Dmitri’s father. He is the head of the Russian mafia and a man with a lot of pride. In front of others, he pretends to be proud of his son and extols Dmitri's merits. But he is truly disappointed that his son doesn't have this special thing, the sparkle in the eye, this passion Nikolai has towards his business.

ANDREI KOVALENCHKO
Males, aged 30 to 45 from Canada
ANDREI KOVALENCHKO changed his name to ANDRE RICHARDSON when he moved to Canada, to start a hockey player career in the NHL. Andre Richardson is Dmitri’s childhood hero. He retired from the hockey world at the end of the last season and started gambling and being in trouble with the Russian Mafia.

VLADIMIR
Males, aged 25 to 45 from Canada
VLADIMIR is Nikolai’s right hand. He has always been in the Russian mafia and never leaves a place without his pitch black sunglasses. He makes sure everything gets done and acts as a spy on Dmitri.

ZHANNA OSIPOV
Females, aged 40 to 65 from Canada
ZHANNA OSIPOV is Nikolai’s strict secretary. She is like a second mother for Dmitri.
