Northern Creative Theatre Company is looking for two actresses for a 20 minute piece of theatre
Northern Creative Theatre Company is looking for two actresses to perform in a 20 minute piece of theatre that will tour alongside various other short pieces of theatre in September and October 2008.
Northern Creative Theatre Company has high production values and aims for quality performances. However, it is a voluntary organisation, none of its members are paid.
Performances will be on the following dates: 14th September, 20th September, 27th September, 4th October and 17th October. Please check these dates are convenient for you before applying. Auditions will be in late July.
This production will be rehearsed in and around Leeds (mostly evenings and weekends) and the performances are across the West Yorkshire Area. Please only apply for this if you are based in Leeds or can be or are willing to travel. (Travel expenses will not be paid).

Character 1
Females, aged 40 to 45 from the United Kingdom
Aged 42, cheery but apathetic and resigned to her circumstances. University educated during mid 1980s. Employed as a solicitor in Employment Law but goes through the motions rather than feeling rewarded by her job. Married for 14 years, has two children, aged 8 and 5.

Character 2
Females, aged 20 to 25 from the United Kingdom
Aged 22, outwardly precautious and cocky but defensive and edgy when she’s vulnerable. Apparently mature in many ways but also naïve. Ambitious, training to be a Solicitor. Originally from a small town in Yorkshire but covets a Metropolitan lifestyle, what she sees as being a better life for herself. Enjoys the attention of certain older men, is devastatingly cutting towards males of her own age (who she perceives as boys) when they express their affections.
