Do you want to be a part of this summer’s Edinburgh Fringe, are you interested in performing in a fun, fast paced and innovative children’s show?
Peaceful Lion Productions are looking for the two remaining cast members for their Edinburgh Fringe show ‘The Magic City’ a magical fantasy based on the book by E. Nesbit.
“A toy city magically comes alive, leading two children on an incredible adventure. Bursting with surprises, extraordinary characters and fantastic puppets. A fun-filled Edith Nesbit story from the team behind ‘Enchanted Castle’ “An hour of fun” (Guardian).”
With an inventive set design, publicity designed by Quentin Blake and set to a beautiful original score this original adaptation of Nesbit's much loved fantasy will captivate children and adults alike. With the current overwhelming popularity of children's fantasy there has never been a better time to bring ‘The Magic City’ to life on the Fringe stage.
Rehearsals will take place in Cambridge beginning on Monday 7th July and the show will run for the entire length of the festival, 3rd-25th August, with preview performances on 31st July and 1st and 2nd August at the Pleasance Dome.
Due to the nature of the Fringe and that we are a student company we are unfortunately unable to pay for accommodation. Accommodation in Edinburgh will be in a shared flat in the city centre and will cost approximately £390; rehearsals will take place in Cambridge, accommodation for the rehearsal period can also be arranged and will cost approximately £10 per night but people willing to commute are also welcome.
If you are interested in joining us more information on the show can be found on our website we encourage you to read through our information pack which is available to download.
