Southbank Centre’s Festival of the World with MasterCard is inspired by the cultural vision of Baron Pierre de Coubertin (1863–1937) who was the founder of the modern Olympic movement. He believed the arts could raise the aspirations of young people in the same way as sport. As London celebrates the 2012 Olympics, Southbank Centre will become an international learning site that shows how art transforms lives.

We’re looking for Volunteer Welcomers who can help make a day out at the celebrations even more special, unique, exciting and memorable. You’ll be talking to visitors about what’s on, giving information, showing people around and encouraging visitors to take part, sometimes doing so yourself. You’ll work as part of a team largely based outside.

If you have great face-to-face communication skills, enjoy being in a busy, creative, outdoors environment and would like to volunteer at Southbank Centre, complete the opportunity form(upon application).
