Male Korean actor, Latina lead & Korean & Latin extra & Crew required (LA)Needing two actors, supporting actors, extras and crew
Casting no. 129281 - California, USA
About the story: I would like to explore Koreatown as a place where Hispanic and Korean cultures intertwine and have an almost utilitarian relationship. But through the two characters show how these two cultures can learn different things from each other. This is not a love story. If you walk west of Alvarado up to Western, north Olympic up to Beverly, you'll have a sense of the feel of the scenes. The movie is in part about the taco stand under the huge Korean signs where Koreans and Hispanics line up to buy food but keep to themselves. About the Methodology of the film: Because this is a low to no budget film, I am putting a lot of work on research, pre production, location scouting, etc, in order to write the script around the parameters that are within my reach. Needless to say, this would be a joined effort where I would ask actors, and everyone involved to help enrich this project. That is, for us to join forces in getting access to shooting locations for example, wardrobe (traditional country costumes for example), other actors, etc. For Actors: This will be very challenging because a lot will have to do with languages, the movie will cover Korean, Spanish, English, and at times the Korean actor might be asked to try to speak Spanish, and vice-versa for the Latin Actress. I would like very serious actors for these roles that are willing to share this experience with me and enrich the characters. I don't want stereotypes. this last point is crucial. I offer credit, and food for your time. I don't expect to have a 9 to 5 solid shooting schedule but your willingness to work around each other's schedules to make this happen is priceless. thank your for taking the time to read this ad and considering to collaborate.
