We need two actors, preferably a woman and a man, for a short 20 minute performance which will make up part of a longer interactive experience. The night is primarily an album release gig for an established indie band.
The performance will be linked to the themes expressed in the music which will follow the performance. The evening will explore themes related to distance, positive and negative aspects of the internet, and the sharing of information and sentiment via technology. The idea is to make tangible the invisible online networks that we are involved in on a daily basis.
Actors will be required to learn dialogue (in a short time frame), operate a rudimentary cardboard network and interact with the audience. We will also be looking to record some voice to be played at the show.
We can offer a small payment which will vary depending on audience size.
Key skills sought:
Acting, Confidence, Ability to stay in character in a social situation, Enthusiasm
