‘Loretta’s Shadow’ is a film project conceived by Writer & Director Joshua Littlehales as his first Professional Short Film endeavour, originally scheduled to be shot in 2010.
However, work overflowed and other Projects came to fruition which ultimately forced him to postpone the film until he felt he was ready to commit 100% to the time and dedication required for such a film.
That time has now come.
This film is ambitious and challenging for the time and money there will be to produce it and so the chosen cast will need to give an unprecedented amount of commitment and talent in order to achieve this film’s full potential. Think Martin Scorsese and Mean Streets or Steven Spielberg and Amblin.
The plan is to send the finished piece to Film Festivals around the world in order to garner attention and acclaim for our cast and crew, resulting in pathways to bigger and better creative adventures.
‘Loretta’s Shadow’ is a Story of eight seemingly ‘Normal’ individuals who unexpectedly come together one night and slowly and unknowingly become part of each other’s story.
The events that take place will impact their lives in forever.
The chosen Actors/Actresses MUST be available on the 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th May 2012 for rehearsals and Principal Photography.

LORETTA
Gritty, rough, lived life type of Character.
She's had a depressing life since being a small girl in her hometown of Boston, living with her Mum and Dad.
Family life was pretty messed up from what she remembers and this has certainly affected her approach to life and particularly men since then. This and other factors probably fueled her desire for Women, even though being a Lesbian is frowned upon. She simply doesn't trust Men when it comes to a loving or sexual relationship but does her bes

Fearing for her future and fuelled by her feelings for this man, she packed up and left New York and moved to Boston to find him. She did find him but he was already in a committed relationship but promised to support her and their child.
Always the optimist, she believed him, but things have steadily gotten worse.
