Berenice, the once-radiant and care-free cousin of Egaeus finds herself falling ill with a epileptic sickness that causes her to act strangely. Egaeus proposes to her, but during one of her trances she smiles in a way that causes him to become obsessed with her teeth. The obsession gets the better of Egaeus and the results are disastrous for the both of them.

Elliot is the butler. He looks after Egaeus and Berenice and keeps the household running. He bears witness to the physical and psychological declines of both Egaeus and Berenice and though he does try to help the situation his efforts are ultimately too little too late.

April is the director/presenter of a student documentary project that she, her boyfriend Sam and friend Evan are making about David Chase, a man who believes that he might have lived a past life as the psychologically disturbed Egaeus. She's bubbly and incredibly personable with a set of perfectly painted and manicured nails that become a new point of obsession for David Chase/Egaeus.
