"Taking it to the streets", is a story about two abused children- Cautious Benjamin and Niecy Myers. They desperately try to learn how to deal with the psychological effects that mental and physical abuse has on each others lives. Cautious comes from a poor family. while dealing with his teachers and peers not liking him, he's forced to deal with the mental and physical abuse by his parents. He becomes an outcast and society's worst nightmare. This in turn, forces him to do the only thing that he knows how - fight and take their frustrations to the streets. Niecy on the other hand comes from a very loving but overbearing middle class family. She's very popular in school, very outgoing, until a sick twist of fate turns her world upside down and forces their paths to cross.
They seemingly comes from different realities that clash but, wind up seeking each others comfort to teach each other how to trust, in love and to respect others. Cautious and Niecy, are constantly at odds with each other since, neither parents approves of their sometimes stormy relationship. However, their friendship forms a strong love and friendship that no one cares to understand. With overwhelming pressures from the outside world, they reach their individual breaking points and it enters them into an emotional roller coaster ride that only one of them will survive.
