CRYSTAL BALL SYNOPSIS
A child kidnapper / serial killer lurks in the Taylor family home watching Lola and Elly (6 and 8) sleep. Completely unseen by the girls’ parents, the killer disguises himself as a clown toy while the babysitter watches the children. Over the course of the evening, Abbey (the babysitter) learns that what she thought was a creepy but harmless toy is not just a toy clown after all; but a creepy, attacking, living monster who wants only one thing. The thing she’s being paid to be responsible for.

QPIX Students are creating their own thriller / horror short films adapting urban legends, fairytales and bedtime stories.

Crystal Ball is based on the urban legend The Clown Statue - adapted to be a modern day fear story about a very disturbing clown and a series of unfortunate events for an unsuspecting family.

We are looking for 6 actors;
The clown (think Chucky meets his shadow - not age specific)
Mr Taylor (the kids’ Dad - early to late thirties)
Mrs Taylor (the kids’ Mum - early to late thirties)
Abbey (the babysitter - teenager)
Lola (8 year old girl)
Elly (6 year old girl)


If you are a competent actor, not afraid of genre, and willing to workshop an on-the-edge-of-your-seat script, please send your headshot, CV and a link to your video showreel to me
We plan to shoot on Friday 31st (definitely not the 13th) of August 2012 between 2pm and 11pm.
An entire family of four or one parent with two children are more than welcome to apply
