The nurse cares for an old bitter father who has lost his faith. The old man used to be a senator, and passed the bill against euthanasia and abortion, but suffers from bone cancer and asks his son to kill him. The nurse is not privy to these conversations and believes murder has taken place. Having been at the wrong place at the wrong time, he/she is accidentally killed by the son. From this moment the story is set in motion.

Crane is a student of a philosopher called Tomahawk Charlie. The students are given a home and sanctuary by Charlie, having been taken from a boys penitentiary; whom were locked up and forgotten. Crane is driven by the irresistible urge of unending life, and plans to assassinate his teacher in return. He is unable to carry out the order however.
