Patrick contemplates ending his life after a tragedy in which he feels responsible for. When going through with it proves to be more difficult
than he expected he is forced to rethink his decision.
"Detroit" is not only a story of love and loss and hope, but a story of the tragic decline of one the greatest cities of North America. the film juxtaposes the beautiful images of Detroit against the characters story, childhood home videos and personal photographs.

Patrick
Males, aged 24 to 30 from Canada
Patrick is a 26 year old man who is dealing with the immense emotional toll brought on by the death of his girlfriend. Patrick ultimately feels responsible for her death and attempts to take his own life. Patrick was born and raised in Detroit and hasn't done much with his life. He finished high school, but has been working a low-end factory job in the auto industry. Candidates with a valid passport and no criminal record are required as there may be travel to the USA.

Meghan
Females, aged 24 to 30 from Canada
Meghan is 27 years old and was born and raised in Detroit. Meghan is a sweet, caring and passionate girl. she grew up across the street from Patrick and they've been best friends ever since. Meghan has struggled with personal demons that are only accentuated by a new addiction to drugs.

Terry
Males, aged 32 to 40 from Canada
A 30-40 year that is stereotyped as a hippie. Terry is wise with his words yet very laid back and calm. Terry enters the story as a transient at a motel who helps Patrick find his way.
