Alex’s mother and holds herself responsible for Alex’s accident. She’s unable to cope with the idea of never holding him again and never seeing him grow up to become a man. Nicole hates the group therapy that she feels she must go to because it’s what the normal thing to do. She doesn’t understand how wallowing in lost and sadness is supposed to help and heal also starting to resent how quickly it seems Shawn is moving on, she doesn’t feel he’s grieved enough for the loss of their first child.
