Tourist is a 10 minute student short film being shot on the Gold Coast and various areas in northern NSW between the 23rd and the 29th of July, 2012.

The story follows Ena (31), a Japanese mother who lives a life without passion. She stays at home most days caring for her 5-year-old daughter, Keiko, while her husband, Hiroshi (35), works late hours. As Ena packs for a family holiday to Australia, a souvenir reignites infatuation from a past relationship. When she stumbles upon Silas (25) (her past lover), the borders of fantasy and reality are blurred. When everything comes full circle, Ena must redefine the circumstances of her marriage or risk having her life fall to pieces.

We are looking to fill the following roles:
• One Japanese male (30-40) to play Hiroshi (SUPPORTING ROLE)[JAPANESE SPEAKING]

Hiroshi [SUPPORTING]

A hard working, gentle and kind man with a rocky past now working as a sound mixer in Tokyo. Hiroshi can only observe as his relationship with Ena ruptures and be there for when the time comes to either mend the relationship or find another resolution. While on holiday, in light of suspected infidelity, he eventually tires of Ena's antics and gives her an ultimatum. When Ena decides to put her family first, Hiroshi accepts her with relief and is ready to let things heal.
