This film deals with the protagonist's experience of abuse and torture, it deals with memories of the ordeal as well as an obsession with revenge.
The male character role is a guardian of sorts. He is a suave, intelligent, worldly man. He is there to guide and look after a young woman who is bordering on the edge of violence. The character is in human form, but is more a supernatural 'guardian angel' of sorts.
Ideally 'Gabe' will have an English accent, to accentuate sophistication, and also to hint that he is not from this modern time.
Ideally aged between 30 - 40 years but any well-suited person could fit the role.
