Customer 1 is a reasonable, honest man who gives off a natural father figure presence. This is probably because he has no relationship with his own children anymore, so tries to give fatherly advice to other young people he meets. He is pained by the pointless violence he sees in the news and doesn’t understand it at all. He fears for young people everywhere and the dangerous environment they are bound to grow up in. Encourages Harry to avoid conflicts and violence.

Customer 2 is a keen believer in happiness and freedom and believes people should follow their dreams. She is deeply saddened by the idea that some people don’t reach their potential and live unfulfilled lives. She has seen first hand the damage that other life motivators, such as money can cause people and is strongly opposed to this and tries to warn Harry against these motivators.

Customer 3 is aggressive and the most obvious contrast to the message Customer 1 tries to impose on Harry. He enjoys going out with his group of friends and tries to prove his toughness wherever he can, often involving himself in fights and brawls. He carries a knife with him when he goes out to ‘protect’ himself from dangerous people out on the streets but doesn’t realize that he’s the problem, and not the solution. Tries to encourage Harry to buy a knife to protect himself when going out.
