Pilton Video, Edinburgh is producing a short drama as part of a film-making initiative that works with new young talent drawn from Edinburgh’s care homes and areas of regeneration.

The film, titled ‘Mum’s Birthday’ is a poignant drama about a newly single parent father who must overcome intense heartbreak to save the relationship with his son on his wife’s birthday.

Due to the nature of the project being educational and supportive for the young people, participation for all adult performers will be on an expenses basis only. Shooting will be taking place in early December.
