Hysterical script - a great opportunity for cast to showcase their comic timing & talents
Shoot dates TBC however it will be shot across a weekend in the final two weeks of November 09 with one rehearsal/wardrobe check required mid November.
The short film follows an eccentric artist in the lead up to his latest exhibition. He promises it will be the most incredible showcase of our time but will not reveal the subject of the top secret exhibition until the night.
His bizarre antics have attracted the attention of an interviewer who documents his journey to the exhibition.
She witnesses his shocking stunts and interviews his flat mates, colleagues and the artist himself with hysterical consequences.

The Artists
Males, aged 28 to 35 from Australia
We are looking for talent comfortable with accents or an actor with a natural foreign accent. He could be French, Brazilian, Italian or from any nation where the accent could be seen as pretentious is adopted by an Aussie white male. We are looking for talent with olive/ or darker complexion. He must be able to look and act pretentious and own the moment with comic timing. Our character is the kind of guys who would never watch sport, or eat meat or vegetables (in case they have feelings)

Interviewer
Females, aged 25 to 30 from Australia
Approachable and professional TV journalist. She is attractive, with a style similar to Australian TV news reporters. She may consider herself to be an expert in art and may like to be associated with artists. She is intrigued by this crazed artist and wants to be the one who breaks the story.

Housemate 1 and 2.
Males, aged 25 to 30 from Australia
Quite gruff, straight-talking Aussies. No-nonsense guys with no-nonsense jobs. Could be a truckie or a laborer. Enjoys drinking VB and watching the footie - they have no time for art. The two housemate are best mates, thick as thieves and also united with their hate of the artist. They have a good sense of humour and enjoy taking the piss out of each other.

Australian girl. She has simple tastes and doesn't really get her boyfriend. She enjoys white wine and hanging with her mates. She doesn't really have any time for art.

Burly Pub Guy
Males, aged 20 to 40 from Australia
The burly pub guy needs to have a big presence. He is the guy that should be left alone while he enjoys his beer. You shouldn't look at him the wrong way for fear of offending him. He's a no-nonsense guy. He drinks VB and loves watching sport on the TV. The pub guy could have some form of distinguishing feature. Eg height, a larger nose etc.
