Amy, an Australian just moved to Singapore to work as an art teacher and Nate, a Singaporean moving to Australia to study photography, have a chance meeting in a Hawker Centre in Singapore. They sense a connection and exchange contacts, and then start communicating via email, Facebook and webcam as they try to fit into the new worlds they find themselves in. This culminates in a ‘date’ at a scenic viewpoint in each of their locations, where it becomes apparent that friendship may lead to more, but will it be something that can last, or is it just a virtual relationship?

Yes, we will be shooting in Singapore. The production will be covering the cost of flights, accommodation and basic meals during the shoot for cast required to travel. We will consider applications from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Singapore, for the roles of Amy and Nate. Other roles will only consider cast from Brisbane and Singapore, respectively.

Nate (Lead)
Nate is a quick-witted, fun, slightly mischievous guy whose self-confidence is only skin-deep. He is escaping from Singapore to find a new life, hopefully with a woman who can encourage him to embrace change, not tie him down. He meets Amy at the Hawker Centre on his way to the airport and feels a connection, so gives her his contact details before he heads off. In Australia he tries to find his way, and a wife, but realises that he may have left it in Singapore after all.
