ALI (or ELI) - restaurant owner. Male. Nice friendly face. Fatherly type figure. Preferably Middle Eastern or can do a convincing accent.
The main goal is the fatherly type figure. So as long as we hit that note. So maybe even consider all ethnicities or even an Aussie but sympathetic to hiring different races for his restaurant.
That does muddy the script a little but its not critical
