My small production company is looking for actors and actresses based ideally in the North West and North/Mid Wales to rehearse for and perform in 5 theatre performances in August on the following dates: 1st ,6th ,11th ,15th ,30th

Performances will be 2 hours in duration. You will perform short monologues and vignettes of First Person interpretations to help interpret castle life at Caernarfon castle. Characters will be based on chosen characters from Chaucer's Canterbury tales.

Costumes provided. You will be given descriptions of your characters and their background to help you build your characters. You will not be speaking to tourists, more, you will acknowledge and give short mononlogues to a tour group as if they are also castle personnel. I want actors who can remain in character.

The object of the monologues is to suspend the belief of the visitors so that they associate you as being actual residents of the castle rather than actors.

Previous historical knowledge of the castle, era and society portrayed would be helpful but is not paramount.

You must have atleast a Higher National Diploma in Performing Arts or higher.

Pay: You will be paid £50.00 for each 2 hour performance. All costume and props will be provided. But think, minimal set. Your job is to give the bare room the life and decoration.

You will be each covered by Public liability insurance.

Its a great first gig for newly qualified students who want professional paid work on their CV as well as established actors who are looking for the chance to be involved in such as show.
