STORY: ‘Roland Henning has writers block. When he tries to explain the situation to a therapist, his story begins to tumble back and forth between his childhood in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire and his subsequent work as a playwright. At the root of it all is an extraordinary day in primary school which shattered his boyhood and plunged him headlong into the dizzy circus of life and art. Toy symphony is a wrestle between the vicious bastardry of being an artist and the sheer exhilaration of the creative act.’
COMPANY: Is the newly formed ‘ADPS Actors Company’. This company is born out of the training philosophy of the ‘Actors Daily Practice Space’. Our intention is to create regular quality productions that provide opportunity for actors to perform and use creative minimalist design elements that rely on the actor’s skill to tell the story. This is a Co-op production.
REHEARSALS: Dates for rehearsals are still to be finalised but rehearsals will be on a part time basis (1 evening and 1 weekend day) from August to Production week (Oct 18- 20). We will meet x 2 times a week but you will not be required for every session.
