The Cock & Tail Inn II - The ‘80’s
It is now 1988 and we are back in Bridgwater at the grimiest, seediest inn in town. Get ready for eccentric characters, bad music and flamboyant cocktails!
Mike is now a wealthy bachelor after investing his evil ex-wife’s lost jewellery in the stock market. Life has massively improved for him, except he is desperately lonely and has forgotten how to pull women.
All seems lost for Mike, until his best pal Barry comes to his assistance with a scheme to bring the inn up to date to attract “young blood” using his entrepreneurial flair and latest 80’s obsessions, which include Tom Cruise and the film cocktail. Furthermore, Barry’s wife Molly has organised the best DJ in Somerset to help- the young camp Austrian, Helmut Munchen.
With this kind of help, what could possibly go wrong? Well, as ever, unexpected characters, hair-brained schemes, chaos and bitchiness ensue at the doomed inn to ensure all does not go according to plan.
Will friendship conquer over adversity? Will the Thompson Twins ever reach number One? Will Mike find his quest for love? And oh, wasn’t love at its sweetest in the ‘80’s? Hmm… let the riotous comedy begin...
