Assembled Junk Productions: Open Musical Casting Call
Are you a North West based musical theatre actor? Want the chance to be part of a musical produced in the North West, cast in the North West and performed in a venue in the North West? If so, Assembled Junk Productions are currently running an open casting day for three upcoming musicals.
We wish to shortlist potential talent in which Assembled Junk will take into their casting pool. Assembled Junk will be running a minimum of a three year long programme of musical theatre and will need over 200+ actors in total.
All actors are unpaid at this point in the process. However, we do envisage a fee is possible in future productions after the launch of the first production.
The casting day will consist of a two-part audition in groups of 8-10. The audition process will last no longer than 1hr15mins.
Please prepare:
Part 1: A solo song (32 bars, bring sheet music, a piano and pianist will be available. No B/T or Acapella)
Part 2: Acting monologue (Any style. No more than 1 min. Published plays only)
*Basic dance skills are necessary but we are a company who focusses on voice and acting.
The day will also give you further information on the specifics of the projects Assembled Junk is producing.
Auditions will take place on the 10th June in a Manchester location.
Notes to all performers:
• We like bold and courageous performers who can take risks
• Actors who can sing are welcome
• An interest in off-West end/fringe musical work; The Union, Landor, Donmar, Southwark
• We work with ‘can-do’ people
• Creativity is a must
• We like performers who take responsibility for their craft
• We invest in you
• We are process based and work to respect the work first. We see all others as vehicles of talent.
• Please do not audition if no-pay/low pay is not of interest to you as we are a fringe production company.
