This pageant features a Family Group that provides central narration: a grandfather (Grampa), Granddaughter (Lisa), and grandson (Billy). The family is out for an evening walk while the children’s mother is preparing to give birth to the newest family member. Their conversation turns to babies and the promise embodied in a new life, and in turn, to the story of the greatest baby ever born. And the promise of the ages represented by his life death and resurrection.
As the family seats itself around a fire for an evening of storytelling, various vignettes from the life of Jesus are portrayed dramatically around them. From time to time, the family itself becomes part of the drama, interacting with various biblical characters (as if the children’s imagination has come to life).
In addition to actors and singers, we need set/crew members, props people and wardrobe people.
