I'm looking for a camera operator who would be interested in gaining experience in a unique and exciting project where the norms of conventional interviewing will be challenged. This work is flexible, over 4 – 6 non consecutive days, working to a mutually convenient schedule. This is a paid position with limited funding which I would be happy to discuss you.
I am a London based PhD student accredited by University College Dublin, developing new on-camera interview techniques for film-makers with complex physical disabilities and speech impairments. As an experienced documentary film-maker for the past eleven years, this project is unique in its development of finding on-camera interview techniques and finding solutions to practical issues surrounding my disability. You will be contributing to a study which addresses inequality in the media and your opinions as an camera operator will be a valuable part of this. You will be credited in the final thesis which will hopefully go on to assist other film-makers with similar disabilities in their film work. Should you wish to receive further information or discuss this position, then please get in touch for an informal chat.
