Pop M'art is a new creative concept in Melbourne. It is a moveable art studio that pops up anywhere in private or public locations, allowing people (in groups of 10-15) to do social painting. One week patrons could be painting at Federation Square, the next they could be in a laneway in the city, inside a museum, by the Yarra etc. The various locations will provide an inspirational backdrop and the group interaction will foster fun through the creative process. Eventually this will lead up to a bigger art project as after 500 patrons, all previous Pop M'arters will be invited to submit their completed pieces as building blocks for an unique art installation.
Each individual Pop M’art event and the creation of the final ‘art installation’ will all be captured in photo and film to also create a ‘making of’ documentary.
The deliverables of the project will be a unique story of the city, its people, art and creativity..
We are now looking for a director or videographer (with your own equipment - preferably a HD Camera or Canon 5/7D Mark II). Good to have documentary experience.
The Documentary: the ‘making of’ art installation will be packaged for free-to-air (7, 9, 10, SBS, C31, ABC etc.) and cable TV (National Geographic, Discovery, Travel & Lifestyle etc.) broadcast, which would lead to the scale of exposure. Credits and final film will be provided. We are still currently looking for sponsorship hence this will be a no-pay job till
we get funding. Need people who wants experience or be part of something unique and fun! Filming is done once if not max. twice a week only and for the next 3 months.
