Tropfest is the world’s largest short film festival held in NZ this year at the TSB Bowl of Brooklands, New Plymouth.
Announced today the news that Sam Neill will become an official ambassador for the inaugural Tropfest NZ to be held on January 27, 2013.

Prizes include: return airfares to LA, Accommodation, spending money and more.
“The prize in an unbeatable incentive for a Kiwi director to enter this year’s festival,” says Suzanne Porter, Chief Executive of Taranaki Arts Festival Trust.
Tropfest NZ is inviting filmmakers of all backgrounds and levels of experience to get out there and start making short films for submission in to Tropfest NZ.
Films must be no longer than 7 minutes. Tropfest NZ must be the premiere of the film (including online) and must include the Tropfest Signature Item (“TSI”), which for 2013 is ‘GUMBOOT”. Filmmakers can include the TSI in any way they choose.
Entry in Tropfest NZ is open to NZ residents and citizens
