I'm an Arts&Media student from UCA, doing a short moving image piece for my final project. I need a dancer with good improvisational skills and possibly some previous experience with choreography. The piece will be filmed at the University in farnham over one to two days depending on productivity. We hope to film next week over the tuesday and wednesday but i can be flexible with the times. Travel expenses and refreshments will be covered. After my assessment on the 24th May i will send you a copy of the piece for your portfolio or in promotion of yourself. Also, our work will be on show for the universities exhibition in June.

Below is the brief for this piece. It will be filmed from one angle with a projection screen in front of the dancer so that only her silhouette is visible. An animation will be placed on the screen afterwards to compliment the dancers movements.

Brief For Dance Piece:
The aim of this project is to diminish the function of communication tools we take granted for such as spoken language and body language. So that in creation of absurdity out of meaningful words, I aim to challenge the continuous search of meaning of our minds.
The visual element of this piece, in this case the performance, is to create a physical response to the sound piece. Although my main focus was the sound, a piece composed purely out of spoken words, in a rhythmical, musical manner, I gradually realized the importance of body language and how it can alter the meaning of the words.
The choreograph is the bodily manifestation of the sound piece, extending from simple gestures of body language into abstract movements incorporated with the physical interpretations of the words themselves used in the sound piece.
