More info: We are putting together a debate for our beauty issue. One side should be from a beautiful woman who says that her looks have helped her get better jobs, attract friends, have her pick of men, be treated better in general. The other side should be from a beautiful woman who claims she has been discriminated against by bosses (male and female, probably for very differing reasons!), found it hard to find female friends, encountered jealousy and bitterness when minding her own business, and found that men are too intimidated by her to approach or see her as merely a trophy.
