To enter Miss Universe New Zealand 2012:
- You must have N.Z residency and citizenship.
- You must be between 18 – 27 years on or before the next succeeding February.
- You must have previously won a pageant.

Many regions hold their own pageant with the winner being sponsored into Miss Universe N.Z. However as there was been an absence of regional pageants in many regions for more than five years I am also interviewing those of you interested in entering Miss Universe New Zealand.

We are looking for good looks, integrity, honesty, intelligence, commitment and a minimum height of 5ft 7.

The current Miss Universe New Zealand is Miss Wellington, Priyani Puketapu
represented who is representing New Zealand in Brazil during the month of September.

Grooming, dance & modelling routines, speech, deportment, an outgoing personality including confidence are all required for the package deal that makes for a good winner to represent New Zealand at Miss Universe. This is all covered over a one week training session where all contestants are accommodated together in a motel.
