Singers are wanted in Bristol as auditions for Open Mic UK, the national music talent competition for singers and solo artists in the UK, begin this summer. Singers are wanted in Bristol as Open Mic UK, the competition that discovered Birdy and Hatty Keane, is searching for the UK’s best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists. Bristol singers are wanted as Open Mic UK is coming to St Georges Concert Hall, Bristol on Sunday 19th August 2012.

Singers in Bristol that enter Open Mic UK can perform either covers or original material throughout the competition. Open Mic UK offers singers in Bristol not only the chance to win prizes, but the opportunity to perform live in some of the best music venues in the country and the Open Mic UK Grand Final takes place at the best live music venue in the country – The 02 in London! This year, it could be you!

There will be £50,000 worth of prizes up for grabs for singers in Bristol, and the winning act will not only be crowned the Best On The Mic in front of a packed out crowd at The 02 in London, but they will also be offered a recording contract to release their single.

The competition is divided into age categories: 16 and under, 17-22 and 23 and over.
