I am a Latin House music producer working on a particularly funky track. We have lots of good talent involved, and now require a particularly heated style of guitar accompaniment - Gypsy Rumba (Spanish Flamenco) to be exact.


* The tempo of the track is 126.5bpm. (suitable for upbeat clubs/bars)
* There are four salsa-style chord progressions which require guitar accompaniment
* There is also opportunity for solo improvisation if you are able.
* The track includes sophisticated solos from jazz piano and trumpet.
* You must have access to your own quality recording equipment and software. However we can offer experienced technical help with the recording process if you have problems. We can also recommend free recording software to use if needed.

The process:

1. Please link us with a demo sample of your general musical capability. Or ideally if possible, draft record and send us a quick sample of your ability to play in the Gypsy Rumba style - which is essential for the track. Let us know too, if you are able to improvise a solo. (At 126.5 bpm, and possibly also at 50% this speed, so we can double it in editing)

2. We will send you four chord progression extracts (each a 1 minute looped mp3) for you to play over headphones while you separately record variations of your guitar accompaniment which you think will be suitable. We stress variations, because then we can also select the best, or even edit together a new variation from your material to suit the track.

3. If you are able to improvise a solo, you can record solo attempts, for as long as you like, for each different section. We will select the best elements of your solo, touch it up in editing, and consider this for a number of opportunities within the track, and also within an extended mix.

4. You will need to email back each file that you have recorded. Files will need to be saved as 320kbps MP3 - or if you live in the UK, files should ideally be burnt onto a CD-R as cd quality .wav files and posted by mail.

We usually have to sift through a large variety of "interest", so please wait while we aim to get back to you within a week.

Remuneration for all participating artists will be agreed pending the prospect of a successful launch. In the meantime, feel free to add this exciting track to your demonstration portfolio following its completion.
