Duran: The Tribute are currently looking for a new lead vocalist, agent involvement and gigs booked

Duran: The Tibute are the only UK based tribute to Duran Duran. Working out of the South Yorkshire/Midlands area (however, gigs are across the UK), the band is run by 4 semi-pro musicians. The tribute has been running successfully for a number of years, playing a wide variety of events and locations, including TV work.

At present, the previous lead vocalist has moved on to concentrate on original music work and as a result, we have an opportuity for a new "Simon Le Bon" in order to get back up to a full 5 piece compliment. If you think this sounds like the job for you, or you are interested in further details, get in touch asap as we have gigs waiting to be booked and agent gigs in the pipeline, including possibly support slots with 80's stars in a support slot capacity.

We are looking for someone in the approximate age range of 25-40 who has singing/live experience and experience in working with a live band to a high level. Currently members operate the tribute on a semi-pro basis around exisiting day jobs and so the successful candidate can also combine the two. If interested, please ensure that you have the following available as this will speed up the setup of an audition (auditions will be held in Sheffield):

- soundfile (mp3, etc) of your singing. Quality and style not important at this stage, just something for us to hear in advance
- recent picture is also an advantage

The band is split between Sheffield and Birmingham, however, geographic location isn't a major issue as we gig across the UK - as long as you are able to get to the Sheffield area reasonably easily for startup rehearsals whilst we tighten up the act with the new singer, then this is fine. We are not an eternally rehearsing band as the band easily secures a full calendar of paid work and so rehearsals would only be early on to bed everything in with the new lineup.
