Staffordshire Music Centre is a new music school in Stafford Town Centre that has aspirations of becoming Staffordshire’s premier music education/performance centre.

Instrumental lessons will be offered to both children and adults, providing students with the opportunity to express musical ideas and feelings by encompassing their creativity, imagination and instinct.

Workshops and master classes will be offered throughout the year. (extra cost to students) Professionals working within classical, jazz and pop music will provide these events.

Each calendar season we feature a ‘Student showcase’. A performance event that allows students to perform and showcase pieces they have been working during their lessons at SMC.

We are looking for inspirational music teachers who can provide SMC students with creative, informative and professional instrumental lessons.

We are seeking teachers specialising in: Singing, Piano and electronic keyboards, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drum Kit, Woodwind & Brass

Details:

- You will work on a free-lance basis
- You will be paid per 30/45/60 minute lesson
- Individual lessons will be 30/60 minutes in length
- Group lesson (3 pupils minimum) will be 45 minute in length

Current salary rates*:

30-minute lesson - £10
60-minute lesson - £18
45-mintue-group lesson - £6 per pupil (3 minimum)

Opening hours are as follows**:

Weekdays: 3pm – 9pm Weekends: 9pm – 5pm

You will be assigned to students on a demand basis, with your regular slots being adhered to each week. (We always work with the teacher to provide a convenient diary) As SMC becomes established we will be able to offer you a consistent and healthy amount of teaching work.

Should you be a successful applicant you will be required to attend an interview, including a performance on your specialist instrument.
