The 2012 Macquarie Photography Prize has $10,000 prizemoney and is open to anyone from any country. Featuring 3 sections for pure photos with subjects 'STORMS', 'ARCHITECTURE' and FUNNY FACES' and also a section for altered photos called 'ARTHOUSE'.
There is a pre-selection process to name 25 finalists in each section. There will be 3 public exhibitions planned for Sydney, Dubbo and Orange in Australia.
First prize is $5,000 and a PEOPLE'S CHOICE prize of $3,000 worth of camera equipment.
Entry is only $5 per photo and entry closes 24th May, 2012.
Craig Parry who won the 'LIVE ACTION' and 'PEOPLE'S CHOICE' in 2011 will be the judge.
