We are looking for Residents who remember having a street party to celebrate the Queens Coronation back in 1953. Do your parents / Grandparants have fond memories and photographs they would like to share? Maybe they still live on the same street and would like to go back?

It will form the basis of a social history documentary which will explore the changing face of Britain since Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne. The aim of the programme is to bring to life the spirit of Britain in the early 50’s.

With your help we’ll dig deep into the past to discover and experience what home, family and community life were really like at that moment in history. Along with the modern residents we are hoping to find people who attended a coronation street party back in 1953 to add their memories of everyday life in the 50’s.

If you would be interested in finding out more or discussing any aspect of the programme, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We would love to hear from you.
