You will have a primary responsibility for Costume performer around the zoo
You will have a primary responsibility for Costume performer around the zoo. The Entertainment Department will provide an exciting and educational entertainment experience within the zoo.
- Perform as Costume performer in the zoo.
- Assist in escorting of characters.
- Participate in the development and application of training and development programmes for costumes and entertainment staff.
- Create, rehearse and perform skits in the Crocoseum and for special events.
- Conduct interactive games and activities with patrons throughout various sections of the zoo.
- Participate in photo opportunities around the zoo.
- Ensure props and costumes are correctly maintained.
- Perform at internal and external marketing events when requested by Management.
- General meet and greet and fare-welling of patrons.
- Greet VIPs at FOH when requested by management.
- Assist with VIP tours throughout the zoo when requested by management
- Provide general knowledge to patrons when they request it.
- Maintain and ensure a commitment to privacy and confidentiality
- Maintain Australia Zoo’s customer service standards.
- Work within the guidelines of health and safety procedures to ensure staff and visitor safety & security.
- Participate in performance training and development reviews or programs as requested by the company both on and off the job.
- Attend meetings as requested by Manager/ Supervisor.
- Other duties as requested by the General Manager, Zoo Director or Owners.
