Born in Belgium in 1980, Gabrielle grew up in a musical environment and was coached by many of the leading Belgian and French vocal teachers.
Gabrielle became a household name in France when in 2003 she reached the final of French "Pop Idol", and went on to shoot a video, record a single and an album with BMG France that went double gold. During the subsequent tour she sang to audiences of up to 50,000. At the same time, Gabrielle completed her masters degree in Economics at the University of Liege.
Gabrielle is also a songwriter and was selected by the Cultural Department of Belgium for a composition project which led to the release of a further CD.
In 2005, she stood in for the pop star Lara Fabian on her international tour. In addition to this, she sang backing vocals in many bands (No Limit, Jean-Louis Daulne, Morgane and other leading French pop artistes).
Gabrielle is now becoming an established name in London performing in a variety of styles including jazz, latin, pop, soul and French songs. Her current project is now attracting major label attention.
She is a member of various duos, trios, quartets, vocal jazz trio and the John Ongom Big Band, performing at many of London venues as featured performer, including the Cafe de Paris and Smollensky's on the Strand.
