'A Slight Narrowing of the Arteries'

Casting no. 79068 - New South Wales, Aus

I’m looking for a male actor with theatre experience aged 45-55 for a play

I’m looking for a male actor with theatre experience 45-55 for a play of mine called ‘A Slight Narrowing of the Arteries’.
It’s a three hander, a comedy, an ensemble piece about three men who decide they’ll revive their flagging friendship by going on a camping trip to the Moreton National Park, 3 hours south west of Sydney. After all what could possibly go wrong? (Plenty does).
It's a populist piece, aimed at a broad audience, and ready for production. I’ve cast two parts already and I’m looking for a third actor - to play Grahame, a high school teacher, a misanthropic, glass-half-empty, misery-guts who drives the others crazy with his pessimism.
I have one stage play to my credit (Lipstick on a Gorilla, Stables 2001) which I wrote and directed. I’ve also had several radio plays produced by the ABC and written some television scripts for a Country Practice and am a graduate of NIDAs playwriting course.
I hope mount this some time in 2009, as a cooperative production (ie. one that's unlikely to be paid unless it’s as a hit)
Please apply now for auditions or more information.
