3 male and 1 female actor required for a 15 minute science-fiction drama with a 6 day shoot
Masters film making student requires 3 male and 1 female actors, for a 15 minute science-fiction drama. Split into 3 parts, 30 minutes each. There will be approx 15 shooting days in total using specific planned locations. " Masters film making student requires 3 male and 1 female actors, for a 15 minute science-fiction drama. Split into 3 parts, 5 minutes each. There will be approx 6 shooting days in total using specific planned locations.
Travel expenses may be paid for and accommodation would be free in a member of the teams house/room.
Located in Bradford. Auditions will be preferred in person, however I am willing to see an audition video via the net ( auditions are not paid)
Summary:
--------------
A young inventor creates a multi-dimensional time machine ...he shows it to his friends they are skeptical. A hero adventure story begins as they travel to an anti-tech world.
Act 1 - The impact of technology on an anti-tech society - sacrifice and bliss, philosophy student - girl relates to society to help rescue - represents universal nature and passion for understanding it, trial - device gets fixed, professor rescued
Act 2 - The return to nature - nature v man - trials - knowledge on theories and device, rescues, understand more about past and thus fill in the gaps of his identity
Act 3 - Impact of mass commercialism, - trial rescue of sidekick, find near bliss but mind change occurs due to need to rescue, return to world 0 with secret knowledge, theories that could be interrogated over a period of time without massive precautions, device placed on shelf as a relic along with other souvenirs from the worlds they have or had visited (on and off screen). He returns having known a version of his father for a time, raises hope and becomes more supportive of his mother.
Characters:

Anton - Mid 20's and slightly eccentric inventor. Not your typical shy stereotype geek, but can relate to technobabble. He can be quite impulsive, considering all consequences. Quantum mechanics student - aiming to become a god? Hero role.
Kim - Female Mid 20's Very attractive - best friend to Anton. Philosophy student
Ray - Mid 40's - Handsome - Professor of History and a good friend of Anton's. Interested in alternative history, knowledgeable and wise.
Juan - Side kick - self centered, greedy
