The search is on for Miss Earth United States and Miss Teen Earth United States 2009! Our event embraces all the beauty of pageantry yet shares the spotlight with a worthy cause, the way we interact with our planet. This is a pageant designed to advocate and educate on the protection and preservation of the environment.
Miss Earth is one of the fasting rising international pageants since it's inception in 2001. Today it is considered as one of the top three prestigious pageants in the world today. Over 100 countries around the world are using these beauty pageants to draw attention to deteriorating conditions in the world environment.
The pageant is designed to promote the conservation of our environment and the protection of Mother Earth. Candidates have to show an understanding of environmental issues and a commitment to the preservation of the worlds environment.
Candidates will come from around the US for the national pageant. The winner of the Miss Earth United States title will travel overseas where she will take part in the prestigious Miss Earth pageant while publicizing environmental issues. The winner of the Miss Teen Earth United States title receives a cash scholarship to continue her educational goals. Together, they will become ambassadors for the motto "Beauties for a Cause", will receive a wide variety of cash and prizes in addition to a personal appearance contract. The national pageant is organized by Earth Pageant Productions in cooperation with the international organization, Carousel Productions Inc. Miss Earth contestants
Males, aged 15 to 26 from the United States
Single, never been married, US Citizen, never given birth, born female. Miss: between 18-26 years of age as of November 2009, minimum height of 5’4”. Teen: between 15-18 as of August 2009, no height requirement. Good moral character; not engaged in prostitution or any form thereof, nor participated in any obscene/x-rated exhibitions of any medium. Not worked as a model or hostess etc in “girlie” Establishments. Convicted of any crime. Familiar with her country’s culture and environmental concerns/problems.
