Applications for the high-profile 2009 Miss Texas Teen USA pageant are now open!
The Miss Universe Organization is a global organization reaching every state and scores of countries around the world. As their preliminary steps, the delegates for the MISS USA® and MISS TEEN USA® competitions participate in local and/or state competitions that are produced by local and state directors. The state winners become the delegates for the national competitions. MISS UNIVERSE® delegates must win their respective national titles in their countries to compete in the event.
An unbelievable year ahead

The Titleholders then embark on a year unlike anything else, receiving exciting prizes, cash and services, as well as:
- Part of each titleholder’s prize package is an employment contract with the Miss Universe Organization.
- The Titleholder becomes a representative of the company for one year, traveling the world, meeting heads of state and dignitaries, participating in official charity and social events, appearing on television, speaking on a variety of topics, and getting the education, experiences and values to fulfill her career goals.
- MISS UNIVERSE® and MISS USA® are provided with a luxury apartment in New York City during their term.
- MISS TEEN USA®, because she is usually still a student, lives at home and makes appearances during weekends and vacations.
The titleholders of the Miss Universe Organization personify the combination of beauty and intelligence that defines the 21st Century.
The Miss Texas USA® Pageant has produced an astonishing record of eight Miss USA’s, and in May of 1995 produced the first Miss Universe from Texas in the pageant’s 45 year history. In August of 1996 Texas produced its first Miss Teen USA. This brought Texas the distinction of being the only state to have attained pageantry’s triple crown—a Miss Teen USA, a Miss USA and a MISS Universe!

Females, aged 14 to 18 from the United States
Applicants must be: at least 14 and under 19 years of age on February 1, 2009. Never given birth to a child nor are expecting, a naturally-born female, a United States citizen, currently residing in Texas.
